Cyril Cusack “PHYSICISTS” Irene Worth 1963 London’s “Plays and Players” Magazine

This is a rare March 1963 issue of London’s “PLAYS and PLAYERS” magazine featuring CYRIL CUSACK and ALAN WEBB on the front cover. They were starring in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of the FRIEDRICH DUERRENMATT play “THE PHYSICISTS” at the Aldwych Theatre in London. (The revival opened January 9th, 1963 and ran for almost four months, closing April 27th, 1963.) ….. The play starred CYRIL CUSACK, IRENE WORTH, MICHAEL HORDERN, ALAN WEBB and DIANA RIGG and featured PATRICIA CONOLLY, CLIVE SWIFT, DORIS HARE, ESMOND BENNETT, JOHN HARWOOD, GORDON HONEYCOMBE, RICHARD ARTHURE, JOHN COBNER, PATIENCE COLLIER, MICHAEL BURRELL, PAUL GREENHALGH, JAN LINDSAY, PIP ROLLS, TONY STEEDMAN, KENNETH GARDNIER and JONATHAN HOLDEN ….. CONDITION: With the exception of moderate edge wear, this rare publication is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to any theatre collection. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.

This is a rare November 1977 issue of London’s “PLAYS and PLAYERS” magazine featuring ALEC GUINNESS on the front cover. He was starring in the Original West End production of the ALAN BENNETT play “THE OLD COUNTRY” at the Queen’s Theatre in London. (The production opened September 7th, 1977 and ran for 371 performances.) …..
