This is an original, folded, 1 sheet theater issued movie poster, 27 x 41, for the 1969 surfing documentary “The Fantastic Plastic Machine.” Note: It is our belief that this poster was displayed in movie theaters, to advertise the 1969 surfing documentary “The Fantastic Plastic Machine.” We believe this poster was displayed in advance of the release of the documentary. To date we have never seen another example of this poster either sold or traded. Its very possible other examples exist, though none are known to have been handled to date. This original 1969 folded poster is in nice condition with some edge, fold seam and handling wear, some center fold seam wear and separation, edge and corner dings, bends and chips, multiple edge and border tears, some fading in the posters white areas, some light waviness, small spots of paper loss at the upper middle border fold seam, the upper horizontal cross fold, and the upper right side border. Overall, this poster is very nice with interesting graphics and images and clear crisp colors. I would grade this poster a 3/4, on a 1 to 10 scale.
