PSYCHO (1960) Vintage original 14 x 36 (35 x 91 cm.) insert poster, USA. Please see the pictures for the best description of the poster. We are happy to send other pics to serious buyers. There is no odor to this print. This print and other movie posters we will be listing were directly from the estate of the University of Michigan film director. These are the real deal. Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, Marin Balsam, dir: Alfred Hitchcock. Paramount. A definitive Hitchcock classic, and certainly one of the best. One of the most disturbing films ever made. Only Hitchcock would dare have the star actress be killed within the first third of the movie! Superb script, superb direction, superb acting, the ultimate in suspense horror-thriller. Nothing comes close. The images and music are cultural icons. There were four Academy Award nominations, including those to Leigh and Hitchcock and one for the black and white photography. Hitchcock not only filmed in black and white for mood and to cut expense but had taken a look at the success of recent bad low budget horror films, which had made tremendous money. He felt a good low budget black and white horror film should do extremely well. Made for well under $1 million, the film earned $40 million. This insert poster exudes the feeling of sex and dark horror.
