This earring is my interpretation of the ornate earring worn in the 1985 movie. Each earring is created by hand, one at a time, and there will be minor imperfections. If you’ve had issues with earrings being too heavy in the past, or even the thought of a heavy earring makes you wince, don’t order these! This earring is the approximate weight of a AA battery. IS IT HEAVY? This depends on the individual. What feels heavy to one person does not feel heavy to another. Some folks say 6 grams per ear is uncomfortably heavy. Others wear 40 grams with no problem. Remember that this piece is meant as a special occasion earring and not for everyday wear, so it won’t typically be worn for more than a few hours at a time. Remember, the earring is NOT RETURNABLE once it has been removed from the tag to which it is attached. EARRINGS CAN BE TRIED ON WITH THE TAG IN PLACE. FYI any returned earring will be disinfected and have its attachment finding replaced before re-listing. There are a variety of materials used in constructing this item which may change based on the availability of supplies. The head is etched and painted by hand. The beading, wire, pins, and other findings can vary but may contain brass, glass, imitation stones, semi-precious stones, stainless steel, or different metals or metal alloys. RETURNS and REFUNDSEARRINGS MAY NOT BE RETURNED once removed from the tag to which they are attached. You can try them on without removing them from the tag.
