This is a rare “GOTHAM LIFE” from the week of July 21st, 1935 (Volume XXX, No. 10) featuring JUDITH ANDERSON on the front cover. She was starring in the Pulitzer Prize winning ZOE AKINS play “THE OLD MAID” at the Empire Theatre in New York City ……. Published as “The Official Metropolitan Guide” for more than a quarter century, “GOTHAM LIFE” was the weekly Guide to Theatrical and Musical Entertainment, Films, Museums, Restaurants and included reviews of new Broadway Plays and the calendar for current Broadway offerings ….. “THE OLD MAID” starred JUDITH ANDERSON and HELEN MENKEN and featured DONA EARL, MARY RICARD, YVONNE MANN, GLORIA MANN, JACKIE GRIMES, CHARLES WILEY, Jr., HOPE LANDIN, GEORGE NASH, MARGARET DALE, ROBERT LOWES, FREDERIC VOIGHT, GAIL READE, FLORENCE WILLIAMS, SANFORD McCAULEY, WARREN TRENT and MARJORIE LORD …..
