This is a rare program (playbill) and rare insert from the week of January 7th, 1923 for the Post-Broadway engagement of the HAROLD ATTERIDGE, JEAN SCHWARTZ and EDDIE CANTOR musical revue “MAKE IT SNAPPY” at the Apollo Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production opened April 13th, 1922 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 96 performances before going on the road.) ….. Robert Eddison “HAMLET” Paul Rogers / Jane Wenham / Bristol Old Vic 1948 Program

This is a rare February 3rd, 1948 programme (playbill) from the three-week, Bristol Old Vic production and Pre-London engagement of the William Shakespeare tragedy “HAMLET” at the Theatre Royal in Bristol, England. (The production would open July 13th, 1948 at the St. James’s Theatre in London and close July 24th, 1948 after a limited engagement of only fifteen performances.) ….. This is a rare July 20th, 1903 program (playbill) from the one-week engagement of the Baldwin-Melville Stock Company’s revival of William Shakespeare’s “ROMEO and JULIET” at the Teck Theatre in Buffalo, New York. (The Original Broadway production opened January 28th, 1754 at New York’s New Theatre.) ….. The play starred WILLIAM FARNUM as “Romeo” and Miss LUCIA MOORE as “Juliet” and the cast included JOHN T. DWYER, H. PERCY MELDON, Mr. W. J. BROWN, Mr. L. O. HART, Mr. DODSON MITCHELL, THOMAS G. LINGHAM, MARSHALL FARNUM, Miss BLANCHE SEYMOUR, Mr. W. J. DEMING, Mr. F. ANDERSON, Mr. R. L. This is a rare December 25th, 1904 program (playbill) from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of William Shakespeare’s “HAMLET” performed in repertory with Shakespeare’s “MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING” and “ROMEO and JULIET” at the Providence Opera House in Providence, Rhode Island. (The engagement opened October 17th, 1904 at the Knickerbocker Theatre in New York City with each play performed for six to eight performances before going on the road.) ….. This is a rare December 11th, 1934 program (playbill) from the two-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of the William Shakespeare classics “RICHARD III” and “HAMLET” at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The revival of “Hamlet” would open December 25th, 1934 at the 44th Street Theatre in New York City and run for a limited engagement of only eight performances.) ….. Presented on consecutive nights, both plays starred WALTER HAMPDEN in the title roles.
