In the world of Rocky, Rocky was only given 6 weeks notice to the fight with Apollo, that led up to the legendary January 1, 1976 fight. To promote the fight, Miles Jergens would have hastily produced “Rocky vs Apollo” Boxing posters plastered all over every boxing gym in the country!Of course there were no real posters created… But what if there was? ….what would they have looked like 40 years ago? What if someone opened a “fictional movie time capsule” and found several 1976 Rocky vs Apollo boxing posters….and you could get your hands on one? So, I designed what I felt would be a great representation of what one of those posters would look like! These fictional Rocky vs Apollo posters were done in the 2 color retro 70’s style, and “show” the distressed look of being stored in dank dingy gyms for 40 years! • Faux distressed to look 40 years old! • Printed on white, gloss 100 lb poster print paper • Red / White / Blue color design celebrates the Bicentennial SuperFight • Period correct 1976 Philadelphia Liberty Bell, Spectrum and Bicentennial notations • Movie accurate text details all throughout the posterNow you can make it look like you were “there” when Rocky Balboa shocked the world, and nearly won the World Heavyweight title!Own a piece of fictional movie history! :)If you are a true Rocky Fan, you’ll want this to add to your collection. This would be a great item to get autographed by the stars of the films! It’s one of my goals, to get an autograph on a poster, too!* Frame Not IncludedThere are F A K E S of my Original poster all over the Internet. This is the ONE AND ONLY ORIGINAL! 🙂
