Uncirculated

This rare set(2) was privately struck in Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police found out about these being struck, located and destroyed the dies. About 200 gold coins had already been made and sold before they were destroyed. Those gold coins that survived were authorized to be privately owned. It is estimated that fewer than 50 specimens remain today. In our opinion, this is one of the most beautiful designs privately minted of the “Ron Greene” varieties. It’s very unusual to find a set safely mounted in a Capital Plastics holder, such as this one. We have handled fewer than 3 of them in our fifty years of specializing in this material. A superb way to display and preserve these rare gold coins.
