Billie Holiday 1950's Concert Program Full of Photos. An original 16-page Billie Holiday souvenir concert program full of fun pictures, stories and song titles. Like most concert programs, this is not specific to any one date. This is really a striking concert program, one that seems to stand above most souvenir programs of the era. The very cover photo has to be among the three greatest photos ever taken of Lady Day; she just looks beautiful and radiant. And it sets the tone for what's inside. We've given you a sampling of the pages; a favorite is the potential song list she could be singing on any given night, including "Good Morning Heartache," "Lover Man" and "Them There Eyes." And how about that Carnegie Hall stage, the same place the Beatles would grace just a few years later.Measures 8 1/2 x 10 1/2" and in Fine- condition. The lower right corner of the entire program has about a 4" x 1 ½" light brown water stain throughout. It's most prominent up front and gets lighter as you make your way through the pages. (Every page has it.) The program's cover also has significant handling, rounded, creased and uplifted corners, a couple of blemish spots, and a scratch on Billie's nose which you can feel with your finger. Also a ¾" crease at the midpoint of the right edge, right off her shoulder. There's another nick in the paper on her forearm under her large ring. The program's spine is whitened from decades of handling and storage. There's also a 1 ½" vertical "impact crease" (as we'll call it) that appears on every page. On the front cover it's on her wrist, and on the back cover it's on her dress. It, too, appears on every page. COA from Heritage Auctions.
