I’m currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950’s and 1960’s ……. This is a rare October 4th, 1965 PREMIERE PERFORMANCE playbill from the Original Broadway production of the British musical import “PICKWICK” at the 46th Street Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 4th, 1965 and closed after only 56 performances.) ….. The musical starred HARRY SECOMBE (shown in cover photo) and featured CHARLOTTE RAE, ROY CASTLE, ANTON RODGERS, PETER BULL, JULIAN ORCHARD, OSCAR QUITAK, JOHN CALL, MICHAEL LOGAN, HELENA CARROLL, MICHAEL DARBYSHIRE, TONY SYMPSON, NANCY BARRETT, NANCY HAYWOOD, SYBIL SCOTFORD and ELIZABETH PARRISH ….. CREDITS: Book by WOLF MANKOWITZ; Music by CYRIL ORNADEL; Lyrics by LESLIE BRICUSSE; Sets designed by SEAN KENNY; Costumes designed by ROGER FURSE and PETER RICE; Choreographed by GILLIAN LYNNE; Directed by PETER COE; Produced by DAVID MERRICK ….. DETAILS: The 60 page playbill measures 6″ X 9″ inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and bios of each of the leading actors but with the exception of the front cover, no cast photos ….. CONDITION: With the exception of light corner creases to the cover, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.

CONDITION: With the exception of tiny staple holes in the left side of the envelope, this rare set is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
